The Starling Homestead is first and foremost our family farm, our journey into hosting weddings and farm stay guests stems from a genuine love of sharing the hospitality and authenticity of real country life.

We’re a small, hands-on operation, and while we may not be the right fit for couples seeking a more polished or traditional venue, what we can promise is that we pour a whole lotta love and energy into every wedding we host.

Our goal is to provide each couple with a relaxed, rural setting where they can celebrate, unwind, and begin married life surrounded by the beauty and simplicity of the countryside.

Is there accommodation on site for my guests?

The Stables only sleeps two (the newly weds)

Alternatively there are multiple Airbnbs within a few minutes of the Starling Homestead or 10 minutes away is the township of Amberley which offers motel accommodation.

Are you LGBT+ friendly?

Yes! A thousand times yes.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made with 12 months notice prior to your scheduled date will receive a refund minus the 25% non refundable deposit.

Pop Up Weddings are subject to their own T's & C's

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we are happy to discuss a payment plan with you

What are the bathroom facilities?

For smaller weddings (less than 20 guests) your guests may use the bathroom facilities at The Stables, or if you prefer, you may hire a Portaloo.

For larger weddings (more than 20 guests) a Portaloo is included in our wedding packages.

Planning is underway to add a wheelchair accessible toilet in 2026.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Dogs (or even horses) are welcome to attend your ceremony (excluding Pop Up Weddings)

We ask that your pooch remain on a leash at all times and that they do not enter The Stables.

Are you flexible on guest numbers?

Unfortunately no, please ensure your head count comes in within the selected package.

Head count includes the newly weds, bridal party and children over the age of two - anyone requiring a seat basically!

What is the wet weather option?

The Barn is our wet weather backup option & remains dry year round.

Rustic self contained accommodation set within an old converted Stable

Jodie and Jae have created such a beautiful accommodation at the Stables. We fell in love with everything about this stay. From pre-arrival communication to the actual stay - it felt seamless. The decor, styling and all the little touches were really appreciated. The added treat for us for getting to meet the farm animals and seeing our first fantail! Our stay was peaceful and cosy - there’s also lots to explore around (wineries and walks) if you’re keen to be out and about.
We’ve stayed in a number of Airbnb’s now and the stables is absolutely one of our favourites. If you’re considering staying - go ahead and book and you won’t be disappointed! Thank you for hosting us Jodie and Jae, we can’t wait to be back for a longer stay next time!

Hay Barn elopements at The Starling Homestead

Jodie & the homestead was incredible! We had an amazing stay at the homestead & were lucky enough to elope while we were staying. Jodie set up the homestead with amazing little personal touches! She organised a platter, stocked the fridge, made sure we had coffee, tea, breakfast, flowers, even a wee fondue set up so we could enjoy that after our platter! We had an amazing day & relaxing night, enjoying the outside baths! We will absolutely be back. Thank you so much Jodie! It was a very special time for us!
